I graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, University of Dundee in 2016. Since then my practice has taken a more socially engaged route, from large scale youth work projects, to living off a pound a day, and photographing life in rural areas. I am interested in how creative practice can be used for positive social change. In 2017 I collaborated with a youth group in Dundee to curate a show for the RSA New Contemporaries Exhibition. The work allowed the young people to take control of their image as a collective and display an installation in a prestigious gallery in Edinburgh, encouraging them to be directly involved in the decision making, designing and delivery of the project. I hope to continue creating work in a collaborative manner that influences and empower communities to reestablish their identities and form active relationships.
