Much of my work is centred around the theme of Anxiety. I am interested in what it is to inhabit an anxious mind. Using case studies and personal experiences of anxiety as a starting point I have attempted to capture the dark space the anxious inhabit. I have pushed my practice through drawing, sculpture, paint and print. I often use myself as a vehicle to drive my theme. My work is a constant conversation between the old and the new, taking inspiration from contemporary artists such as Antony Gormley and Tracey Emin to more traditional artists such as Rembrandt, Goya and Van Gogh. I would like to keep working on my knowledge of critical analysis and contextual study.
