VAU proudly presents… “Pillow Talk”, a new series of discussion events hosted by artists invited by VAU, to engage with the public on a number of issues surrounding contemporary art. The first in the series will be held in the Main Gallery at Southblock and will focus on the emerging years of artists – their backgrounds, how they start out and the challenges they face in establishing their practice. We are delighted to announce our guest speakers for the first event will include David Shrigley, Toby Paterson, Peter Chalmers and The Brownlee Brothers, who will each discuss and share their own experiences when starting out. The event will take place on Tues 20th January from 6.30pm – 8.30pm and will be free for all to attend.
