2|1|4|1 interview VAU

A bright and sunny Saturday afternoon and I have just fought my way down a packed Buchanan Street to meet four very beardy and very hungover men. David McDiarmid, Stuart Noble, Jon Nicolson and Paul Corbett, together make half of the collective Visual Artist Unit (VAU). The ladies, Laura McGlinchey, Vivian RossSmith, Rachel Currie and Emma Rogers are off being productive I assume. The boys each get a huge pizza slice from a nearby counter and we set off in the baking sun eastbound along Argyll Street munching and chatting. We are headed for VAU’s new studio spaces soon to open in a newly renovated factory in the eastend.
Alexander ‘Twig’ Champion of the    joins VAU members in a walking interview through the  Glasgow east-end to discuss the collective’s aims and visit the groups new premises.
